Its been outputs and outcomes morning. So what did we do last year? Well, big numbers first. we provided:
10,901 nights of accommodation to 56 people made homeless by the asylum system
We carried out 171 legal assessments, helping people undertstand why they have been made homeless by the asylum system and what they can do about it.
We gave £88,441 directly to 95 people who had no other income, enabling them to buy food and essential
In total we helped 202 individuals
And what did it achieve in the long run?
40 people who were homeless at the start of the year ended the year safely housed (and thats on top of the 28 people currently in our houses while we help them get things sorted out)
And 15 people were able to build new lives in safety in the UK after the Home Office admitted that although it had refused them asylum and left them street homeless, in fact they had a well founded fear of persecution and were granted refugee status.
More than a little bit proud of what we have achieved
